Activity Coach - The Grove

Something spectacular, just 40 minutes from central London. The Grove, recently voted Best Leisure Hotel (Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2008), is a 5 star luxury hotel, world class spa and 18 hole championship golf course. With 227 guest rooms and suites, three distinctive restaurants and bars and grade II listed mansion, the property is set in 300 acres on the former estate of the Earls of Clarendon in Chandler's Cross, Hertfordshire.


Our Walled Garden is a world within a world. With tennis courts, croquet lawn, outdoor swimming pool, urban beach with Volleyball, table tennis and a pool table in the Potting Shed, this is the perfect spot to enjoy the great outdoors in 5* luxury. Roses ramble on the old walls… the vegetable garden and fruit trees provide the freshest raw ingredients for Colette's… the long Potting Shed is full of antiques from Provence and England with plenty of huge armchairs - the idealplace for a discreet afternoon nap in the sun. There's so much space that it's the perfect spot for kids to run free. Equally, it's a secluded countryside haven which our guests can book exclusively for corporate events and team building.

The Walled Garden team are seeking five assistants to spend this summer (starting mid-April) delivering the activities we arrange daily over our peak months. Working with children and families is a significant part of the role and this is a great opportunity to spend your summer outdoors, working hard in beautiful surroundings. The ideal candidates will have previous experience of working in a guest-facing role and preferably also with children.



JOB TITLE: Activity Coach
REPORTING TO: Kids' Club Manager
JOB PURPOSE: To provide exceptional service for everyone.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To ensure all Guest Needs are met to the required standard
2. To ensure your allocated daily responsibility is completed to the required standard and co-operation with your team colleagues is evident at all times
3. To ensure all Guests, their belongings, Colleagues and physical product are treated with respect at all times
4. To ensure any Guest request, outside your area of expertise, is raised immediately to the appropriate level
5. To work within all company policies with specific reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
